A chance meeting became Style Shack

Style Shack began 24 years ago with a chance meeting in the paint aisle. Dawn and Sherry started talking, became fast friends and, before long, had filled two basements with gifts they loved and were convinced everyone else would love too.

What began with local pop ups and community events eventually moved into a small space inside Highland Park’s former movie theater. Seventeen years later, Style Shack has grown into the boutique you know today, filled with jewelry, home accents, entertaining pieces and gifts chosen for the happiness they bring.

But Style Shack has never been just a gift store. It is a place where friends meet, stories are shared and customers often stay longer than they planned. We have been here long enough to watch our former interns grow up and have babies, and to welcome back customers who first shopped with us in high school and are now choosing engagement and wedding gifts.

Our loyal customers and the Highland Park community have supported us through every chapter. They have celebrated with us, encouraged us and helped turn a friendship and two very crowded basements into something far greater than we ever imagined.

We are also incredibly lucky to have a team that is truly the heart of Style Shack. Their warmth, energy and genuine care are what make the store feel like home.
